The Bible doesn’t tell us to give a specific percentage. It encourages us toward giving that’s intentional, joyful and realistic for our circumstances. For some Christians, the Biblical idea of the ‘tenth’ is a helpful starting point. But in the end, ‘Each one must give as he has decided in his heart’ (1 Corinthians 9.7).

Please don’t put yourself under any pressure. The Bible talks about receiving in scarcity and giving in abundance (2 Corinthians 8.13-15). Feel free to reduce or cancel your giving while continuing to receive the church’s ministry. You can always resume or revise your giving if and when your circumstances change.

Because ministry continues every week even when attendance varies. We have expenses for staff, resources, buildings and more regardless, and regular giving helps keep the church stable and avoid repeated appeals. It also helps us be faithful to our commitments, e.g. to our missionary partners.

Only our Treasurer and limited financial personnel (e.g. a bookkeeper) have direct access to information about anyone’s giving. Our ministry staff can’t access this information to protect against the appearance or reality of preferential treatment. All personal information is handled confidentially according to our Privacy Policy.
