Mission Aviation Fellowship
MAF’s purpose is ‘to deliver practical and spiritual care to people in places of deepest human need’ with a fleet of over 100 small aircraft. Mark serves that purpose as International Safety Manager, conducting operational safety audits, investigating safety incidents as well as supporting and training MAF’s safety managers working in countries from West Africa to the Pacific. He and Jodie have served with MAF in South Sudan, Kenya and Arnhem Land and are now based in Cairns, Australia.
The Bible Society
Dave leads the Pitjantjatjara Bible Translation Project. Pitjantjatjara is one of the few Aboriginal languages still in daily use, spoken by several thousand people who live in their traditional homelands in the northwest of South Australia, parts of Western Australia and the Northern Territory, as well as Pitjantjatjara speakers living in Alice Springs, Port Augusta and Adelaide. The Bible Translation Project involves lots of those people in the translation and transmission of God’s precious word.
